The Prize focuses on the ideas driving the creation of works, recognizing artistic projects with a strong conceptual foundation. The essence of the competition is therefore not the presentation of a finished artwork, building, or design, but rather the demonstration of the creative process and the underlying conceptual thinking.

Eligible applicants are creators between the ages of 18 and 35, entering in the categories of Architecture or Visual and Applied Arts. Submissions must be made in the form of a single media file with a duration of minimum 30 seconds and maximum 3 minutes, which will be evaluated by a professional jury.

Awards by category:

  • One First Prize: net 1,000,000 HUF
  • Two “Promising Project” Prizes: net 150,000 HUF each

In addition, winners of the Grand Prize will receive a unique DECODE award object designed by Fruzsina Zalavári, made of crystal-clear glass and hand-polished.

Independent of category:

  • One “Spotlight” Special Sponsor Prize, awarded in recognition of creative works serving and advancing society.

The results and the DECODE Prize Award Ceremony will take place on November 19, 2025, at the Apollo Gallery in the Corvin Palace (1 Blaha Lujza Square, 1085 Budapest, Hungary).
